About Sean
I grew up in Covington, Virginia and joined the U.S. Air Force at eighteen — a decision that took me far from the Blue Ridge. Stationed at Rhein Main Air Base in Germany, I embraced the culture, traveled across Europe, and met my British-born wife, Oddette.
A back injury ended my military career earlier than expected. What followed was a genuinely hard chapter — marked by pain, transition, and a struggle with depression. In 2007, Oddette handed me a DSLR camera. I don't think either of us knew what that would become.
Photography started as therapy — landscapes of Virginia on long, aimless drives. Then our daughter Kyra was born in 2010, and the lens turned toward people. Toward fleeting moments. Toward the things that slip past if you're not paying close attention.
Today I'm settled in Waynesboro with Oddette and our two daughters, documenting weddings and portraits across the Shenandoah Valley. Every session carries the same intention: be present, earn trust, make photos that last.
